The US Department of Agriculture has announced that school meals for the 2021-2022 school year will remain free for all students regardless of eligibility. Although meals are free, parents are still encouraged to complete the free and reduced lunch application even if they do not think they would qualify. The form will look a little different this year and may be accessed at: https://www.childressisd.net. The completion of these forms provides the district with information that helps CISD obtain federal funding and students financial support through numerous school programs.
