Childress sports schedules this week!
Reminder: Friday, March 1, 2024, will be a 12:30 release day for all campuses. Lunch will be served on an early schedule, and buses will run.
The Childress Track Meet and Childress Baseball Tournament games have been canceled today. Baseball games will resume tomorrow.

Friday, March 1, 2024, will be an Early Release Day. The campuses will release at 12:30 pm and buses will run at that time. Please support the Bobcats as they play in the Regional Tournament. The Bobcats will play in the Semifinal game on March 1, 2024 at Frenship HS with a 6pm start time.
The Wellington track meet this week has been cancelled. We will be hosting a combined JH / HS track meet here in Childress on Thursday (2/29). I am attaching a schedule of events! This is for both JH and HS girls and boys in replace of the Wellington track meet!
HELPme is a tool that works by empowering students, parents, and staff to ask for and receive the help they need with dignity and privacy. All users will have access to the HELPme mobile app, which has three main features:
• GET RESOURCES:
If you or your family need assistance with food, shelter, transportation, or domestic violence – enter your zip code in the Get Resources section of the app, and you will be provided with links to local resources who can help you. There is also a video library of wellness resources, including topics such as Stress & Anxiety, Bullying, Suicide Prevention, and Anger Management.
• CRISIS TEXT LINE:
If you are experiencing a painful emotion, click the Crisis Text Line button, and you will be connected to a crisis counselor. The counselor will introduce themselves and invite you to share your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Everything is confidential and you never have to share anything you don’t want to. The counselor will help you sort through your feelings until you are feeling calm and safe.
• ASK FOR HELP
If you would like to request help directly from your school, click the Ask for Help button. You can request help for yourself, a friend, or your family. Your request will remain anonymous, or you can choose to identify yourself. A trusted adult from your school will respond by messenger to gather more information and/or provide the help requested.
Fire drills will be conducted at CES and CHS on March 1 and at CJHS on March 7.
Junior Ring Ceremony is Wednesday, February 21, 9:30am at the CHS gym. Families are invited to attend!

Childress ISD will have a 10am start on Monday morning. Buses will run on pavement only.
Remember to be EXTRA careful around school buses! Keep an eye out for kids loading and unloading buses, as well as crossing streets.
Tuesday is CISD Night at the Bobcat Den! Pack the stands for your Childress Bobcats and Lady Cats, and enjoy performances by the Childress Elementary School first graders and the CES Bucket Club during halftime of the games.
